I’m only throwing away broken ones, or ones missing major parts. The others are going to cousins or Goodwill.
St. Jimmy, where did you decipher from what I’d written that I force my daughter to throw away her toys? We did it together, and I was actually surprised at how much she was willing to relinquish.
I don’t know who thumbs downed the answers. Most are reasonable, I agree.

My son has a lot of toys, he has a bunch in his room but he has a toy kitchen, workbench and piano that stay in the living room. i feel like it’s being over run by toys..lol. so do you keep some in the living room and some in their bed room or do they stay in one spot? we live in a fairly small apartment and it’s getting over run. any suggestions?
my sons bed is actually in our room because he tends to get up in the middle of the night and jump in bed with us. he’s only 2 1/2 so it doesn’t bother me that he sleeps in our room…yet.

Hi, my son is 2 years old – almost 3 and I would like to take some toys to kids that need them. I want to take him with me so that he can learn something from this experience. I don’t think he will really understand till he is older, but every little bit counts. And I plan to make this a tradition. I think it would help for him to actually visibilly see the children he gives these toys to. Does anyone know where in Houston that we could take these toys? Thank you very much.

I admit we did by them a back yard swimming pool today. They have a computer in their room, and a portable dvd player. My kids get new toys on a regular basis and then our neighbors old toys.

How did you get your child to play with their toys? They are 4 and 2 years of age.

What are some toys that kids ages 6-12 can play with together? There is also a 1 1/2 year old. Preferably something that can be played with outside and at least 4 or 5 kids can play with at a time or take turns playing. Something the 1 1/2 year old would enjoy too if you can possibly think of anything to fit with that age. We are already buying a slipping slide and sand toys. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Something that isn’t very expensive either. Thanks.
