what toys do you bring to the beach for your toddler? and how old are they?

My three year old (and his two year old best friend) LOVE trucks. I bought him one of those giant dump trucks at Target for about 15 dollars. He loves it. It goes everywhere. It has a blanket at nap time. It goes to the playground. It goes hiking with us. I think he would bring it to church if I said okay!
He also likes really sturdy scoops (also at target, for a dollar each in bins) and buckets. He loves to smash sandcastles, so get a small castle mold since it is less work for you to fill.
He has one of those funnel things you pour sand in and a wheel spins. It is okay, but not as fun as the truck.,
